Abstract
This article is based on the rereading of the process and results of a prospective exercise conducted at Argentina’s Instituto Nacional of Technology and Agriculture National Research Center (CNIA-INTA), between 2015 and 2106. The main arguments revolve around two issues; i) the prospective and the link with decision-making, specifically inquiring in the role of managers and the interaction between public figures and stakeholders, ii) the prospective and its relationship with the form of organization of science and technology- oriented entities. That is to say, the existing tension between the multi-disciplinary paradigm-basis of prospective- and the disciplinary paradigm proper of this type of organizations. The conclusions aim to reflect on how to overcome these limitations and to propose a research agenda around this problem.
