Abstract

This analysis reviews, through the deductive method, the history of the nuclear programme of India, its importance for the regional geopolitical reality that the country faces and the role of the world powers and other nations, such as Canada, in the nuclearization of New Delhi. The characteristics of the nuclear capabilities of India are specified as well as its defense budget, and the thin line between the peaceful and violent uses of nuclear energy.
